ClimateSmart™ Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction Projects
PG&E’s ClimateSmart™ program is the first-of-its-kind. This voluntary program allows our customers to take action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) to make their home or office energy use "climate neutral."
Through its fourth competitive bidding process, PG&E is seeking to purchase high quality GHG emission reductions from new projects in California that reduce, avoid or sequester GHG emissions. Upon review and evaluation of all bids, PG&E will consider entering into agreements to purchase California Climate Action Registry-verified GHG emission reductions towards its commitment to be in contract for at least 1.5 million tons of reductions by the end of 2009.
If you are interested in submitting a bid, please review PG&E's Request for Proposal (RFP) No. 5617 and other related information on the website www.pge.com/climatesmartRFP.
